truSculpt iD Appointment Process: What to Expect

Home » truSculpt iD Appointment Process: What to Expect

Most women have areas of stubborn fat that remain no matter how serious they are about following a balanced diet and suitable exercise routine. It’s common to see areas of exercise-resistant fat in the hips, thighs, or abdomen, especially after weight loss or pregnancy. truSculpt iD is an option to reduce these fat cells and permanently change the body’s contour using monopolar radiofrequency energy. Patients are often surprised to find that the appointment process is relatively simple and easier than they thought. If you schedule an appointment for truSculpt iD, here is what you can expect.

Before Your truSculpt iD Treatment

Often, a consultation and treatment for truSculpt iD can take place on the same day. First, your physician will evaluate your health to make sure the treatment is safe for you. This includes information including any allergies, medical conditions, or medications. truSculpt iD is a very safe procedure for a majority of patients, but those who are pregnant or have pacemakers, defibrillators, metal implants in the treatment area, or other health concerns shouldn’t undergo the procedure.

After determining that you are a candidate, you can discuss your treatment goals with your physician. They will examine the area you wish to treat and develop a custom truSculpt iD plan with you. Most patients have two treatment sessions to reach their ideal results, but some patients can complete truSculpt iD treatment in just one.

The truSculpt iD Procedure

The truSculpt iD procedure involves applying treatment pads to the chosen areas, which then deliver radiofrequency energy. This energy heats and destroys fat cells, which are then metabolized naturally and safely by the body over time. You will feel some heat from the treatment pads throughout the process, but this should be comfortable and bearable. The truSculpt iD procedure only takes about 15 minutes per treatment area.

After Your truSculpt iD Treatment

One of the biggest benefits of truSculpt iD is that the procedure requires no downtime. Immediately after treatment, you can return to your normal routine.

When your session is complete, you can schedule either a second treatment session or a follow-up appointment to check in on your results. Most patients will see their truSculpt iD results after about 12 weeks. Because fat cells don’t regenerate, these results are permanent.
